Erica’s practice focuses primarily on debt financing (with an emphasis on secured real estate lending), as well as commercial real estate and general corporate commercial matters. She acts for both lenders and borrowers in a wide range of financing transactions including secured and unsecured debt financing, acquisition financing, real estate construction and project financing, asset-based lending and inter-creditor arrangements. Erica also acts for purchasers and sellers in commercial property transactions and represents both landlords and tenants in respect of commercial leasing matters.
Prior to joining Walsh, Erica practiced in the Calgary offices of two large, national firms, as well as a Calgary-based boutique residential real estate firm. While Erica has spent the majority of her life in Southern Alberta (having attended the Universities of Lethbridge and Calgary to obtain her bachelor’s and law degrees, respectively), she also spent her formative years living in Winnipeg, a city she still has a fondness for.
In her spare time, you’ll find Erica at home with her husband, daughter and fur baby (Ari). She enjoys wine tastings, trying out new recipes for plant-based meals and reading (mainly) mystery novels. She loves group boxing classes and golf, and cheering on the (now) Las Vegas Raiders during football season.
