Eric grew up on his family’s Manitoba farm before being drawn to Alberta’s frontier spirit and entrepreneurial energy. His small-business family developed a passion in him for serving owner-managed businesses and helping with their widely varied legal issues. He also enjoys working with clients on business and succession planning, and completed the CPA In-depth Tax Course in 2021. His expertise includes corporate reorganizations, tax and estate planning, corporate/commercial and real estate transactions.
Eric attended Queen’s University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies, and the University of Calgary Faculty of Law where he achieved his Juris Doctor. He is an active volunteer with the agricultural community, and is founder of the Alberta Young Speakers for Agriculture competition at the Calgary Stampede and a former board member with 4-H Canada. He also has a passion for politics, serving on a variety of boards and in a number of positions in southern Alberta.
In his down time, Eric can be found testing new fly patterns on the Bow River, skiing, and spending time outdoors with his family.
