Amreet Toor is an articling student in the Litigation group at Walsh LLP.

Amreet obtained his Bachelor of Commerce (with Distinction) from the University of Alberta before graduating with his Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary. As part of his law school experience, Amreet served as the President of the Law Negotiation Club, and volunteered with Student Legal Assistance, providing legal information and representation to low-income residents of Calgary. Amreet also interned with the BLG Business Venture Clinic, assisting entrepreneurs navigate the challenges of corporate law. These diverse experiences gave him familiarity with litigation and business legal work.

In August 2023, Amreet participated in the University of Calgary Faculty of Law’s summer exchange program in London, England. Here, he had the opportunity to gain exposure to cross-border corporate transactions in one of the world’s financial capitals.

Amreet is no stranger to the demands of running a successful business, having started and run two businesses of his own in the areas of construction and retail, before eventually selling them and joining Walsh LLP to pursue his dream of becoming a litigator. His experience will be an asset in assisting clients, understanding their needs and the challenges they may face.

In his free time, Amreet enjoys watching hockey, supporting questionable teams (Go Oilers!), adventuring across the globe, and spending time with his best fur buddy, Sheru.
